I would like to take this moment to pay homage to an amazing voice actor.
Who voices these two very different characters with very different personalities:
Aqualad (Young Justice)
and Cyborg (Teen Titans)
and does it beautifully
because even when you listen to both characters side-by-side, you can’t tell they’re both him.
Something that not even many actors can do.
You sir, are amazing.
Best Thing About "Injustice" So Far - CYBORG!!
I’m totally pissed off about the plot (not going to post spoilers), but I AM happy with the Cyborg stuff. Firstly, it’s voiced by Khary Payton, who also voices Cyborg in BOTH “Teen Titans” shows (and is Aqualad in “YJ”). Secondly, in the game, he calls Deathstroke “Slade” (like they did in the TT show), references Deathstroke’s past (and his own) with the Titans, and (thirdly) says “boo-yah”!!
At Wondercon yesterday, during the Teen Titans panel (which was hilarious), Greg said to be excited for BBRae, and I freaked out because I realized that it was the first time I’d heard him say it out-loud and not just typed out over Twitter. omfg.
I had so many feelings. I mean Cyborg/Beast Boy is my BrOTP and Greg and Khary were hilarious. They were talking about Cyborg and Beast Boy’s friendship and they hugged and Khary kissed the top of Greg’s head.
I love those guys so much. And when talking about Tara, Khary was all like “She’s sweet, she’s like the mom.” And Greg was all like “…Uh, yeah…”, but he was really thinking ‘dude, no’. And then he called her the Marilyn Monroe of voice acting. I can’t even.
I wasn’t actually there I watched it online. A girl can dream.
With every new episode of Teen Titans Go I’m just more and more amazed by the voice-talent behind it.
In particular, Greg Cipes and Khary Payton.
Beast Boy and Cyborg’s friendship has always been my absolute favourite and Greg and Khary are both phenomenal and hilarious. I seriously do not have words.
I have been crying with laughter and completely blown away by every nuance of their performances, and we’re only on episode 3.
So much love for those guys, I can’t even tell you.
