My friend is going through a similar thing. Apparently all MacBooks sold in the year she bought hers have the same issues. Her trackpad is screwed though and now the battery is, it switches off without warning. Hope you get yours sorted.
I hope so too. I’m having trackpad issues that are probably my fault for getting it wet. I was hoping to DIY the bottom back on when I googled it. I hope it works.
