American Misfits Remake: Yay or Nay?

So, I got a message (which I should go answer, tbh. Sorry!)

And in this message, the girl was talking about how amused she was that Iwan Rheon and Antonia Thomas made an annoyed face when they heard about the future/possible American Misfits remake.

From what I’ve gathered, I think this girl doesn’t like the idea of an American remake. And this made me curious.

How do you guys feel about an America remake? I feel like there’s a lot of hatred toward something that hasn’t even been created yet. Yes, sometimes remakes fail such as Skins but sometimes they’re a hit such as The Office, Shameless, and the In-Betweeners.

(I might be biased since Josh Schwartz will be co-writing the pilot and Josh created Chuck, one of my all time favorite shows.)

“And the final thing I’ll say is that this was the story of a guy who felt he had all this potential but never lived up to it. A guy who felt he had the promise to be something better than he was when we first met him. This underdog, this nerd, who’s thrust into this life and lives up to it and becomes a hero spoke to people. A lot of people saw themselves in Chuck, and want to believe that if given their own opportunity they could also become a hero." ”

“But for me and Josh Schwartz, we always felt that those guys [Chuck and Blair] were endgame for each other. Always.”
