John 1: Follow

The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and said unto him, Follow me. (verse 43)

A simple call that changed the course of a life.

waywardfather is back in Kansas.

Heavy heart and heavy limbs acquired, Eliza took a deep breath. Everything had been so… off, lately. After just having her son, and all the mishaps that she’d caused in the family, and any other stress on top of that- she was in desperate need of the drink in hand. Though, the child in the crib before her strained the opposite opinion. She did love the child. And she was going to protect him in any and every way that she could.

Gingerly attempting not to wake him up, Eliza raised Jack from his crib, and tucked him into his small, snug-fitting, winter coat. She needed to get out of the godforsaken home. Her feet carried her and the child in her arms, steadily down the sidewalk from her home, and into a small cafe in the center of Lawrence. That is, until she rammed into another being before her.

“Fuc- Crap,” she corrected herself, already trying to be a better influence on her child, “Sorry, love. I swear, you’d think I was half-blind.”

Truth...

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14 NKJV)

In a world full of deception, deceit and lies, we have Jesus, full of Grace and Truth. Walking in truth means walking with Jesus, trusting him, knowing him, being like him. Meditate on this verse, let the Lord speak to you through it, what else do we really need if we have Jesus.

Don’t be fake, Walk in Truth..

Ephesians 3:20-21
