So today I’ve been re-reading some of my copies of ‘Essential X-Men’, and came across this particular scene from the end of Joss Whedon’s run on ‘Astonishing’.

Considering their history, this is just about the most perfect pay-off as Kitty hurtles away through space. Who would’ve though a comic book could bring a tear to your eye?
