Article: Finding God In The Dark

“I know how it feels like being lost.”- Joel Cruz

“Take Me Out of the Dark” is one of the songs that won Joel Cruz the title of male champion during the 2011 Karaoke World Championships (KWC) Philippines national trials. But the song also has a personal meaning for someone who lived a broken life before God reached out to him.

Read the testimony of 2011 KWC Philippine Champion Joel Cruz, and the salvation he found through Christ.

People Asia Oct-Nov 2012: Sign of the Cruz

hellooooooooooooooooooo!!! as i’ve mentioned previously, i’ve been so busy with work that i’m currently catching up on sleep as well as this blog! haha. how i’ve missed updating my blog! finally, i found time! yipeeeeeee!

one Sunday, I went to Tagaytay with the People Asia team to shoot the “Lord of Scents”, Joel Cruz. our location was none other than in his Tagaytay mansion. Sir Joel made sure we felt at home. he gave us a tour around his mansion and ate with us for merienda to tell us bits and pieces of his life. his journey towards a fruitful career and perfume business is truly inspirational. it was quite a memorable shoot because the team bonded through non-stop jokes, anecdotes, “realizations” and relentless laughter, especially on our way back home.

the shoot came out in the October-November 2012 issue of People Asia (with Leni Robredo on the cover). if you still see it in bookstores or newsstands, please grab a copy! many thanks again to the People Asia team and to Kristel Lagorza!

during the shoot, i had the opportunity to have my outfit shots taken in front of one of Sir Joel’s walls in his mansion. i just found it as a nice background, as if i were travelling. hehe. the photos are just a few ‘coz i was a bit shy. now they’ll know that it’s for my blog and not ‘coz i was being vain! haha.

i wanted to wear an outfit that would be appropriate for the Tagaytay weather so i opted for my trusty denim polo shirt, my Americana jeans, and my low-heeled booties. a fuss-free outfit is best when styling at a shoot because it requires you to move a lot and “get your hands dirty”.

sorry for the blurry shot! told you i was getting shy already! haha.

i just wore a few accessories (just my watch and a wrap bracelet) because wearing too many while styling can be such a hassle.

from Greenhills denim polo, Topshop pants, Zara boots, Kenneth Cole watch, and from a bazaar bracelet

vote for this look in my chictopia account!: www.chictopia.com/nasche

until my next post, guys! i hope i could really get to post more often and try not to neglect my beloved blog. hehe.

Romance is an animal

Love needs

when walking hand in hand

just doesn’t cut it.

It’s a well equipped camel

ready to traverse over barren land,

ready to spit in the face of any heifer or bull

who has no place being in a dessert.

It’s a horse

that carries the tired feet

that forgot what sand between its toes felt like

because jagged rocks deemed themselves

a proper substitute.

It’s a pterodactyl that swoops in

just when you thought your relationship went

extinct.

Romance is Major Harris’s “Love Won’t Let Me Wait.”

A comparison probably unexpected.

Like Love.

Love is Luther Vandross and John Legend

Covers making a masterpiece

Master itself.

Perfection done in practice.

Progression.

Just when you thought it couldn’t

It couldn’t

have gotten better.

But better it did.

It does.

It always does.

Like Love.
