“When choosing a career, consider jobs where the idea of a vacation from it repulses you.”

—Neil deGrasse Tyson

So while I didn’t get the job, I emailed the CEO and thanked him for contacting me and letting me know the status of the position. I also told him that I was first and foremost a fan of his company and I would still love the opportunity to help them out with their social media on a contractual basis. He responded and said that could be interesting, and asked me to send him a quick proposal.

Having never written a business proposal in my life, I immediately went to the Google and started searching. I talked to a friend of mine who gave me some fantastic tips to get me started. Then I spent the vast majority of today writing out this proposal which eventually took on a life of its own.

I hope he likes it and sees what value I can add to the company. Under “Fees”, I even threw in a free company perk I think he’ll get a kick out of.

I’m feeling good about the positive, proactive steps I’ve been taking in order to make shit happen rather than waiting for shit maybe to happen. Even if it doesn’t work out, I am learning so much through this process that it can only help me out in the future. But still keeping my fingers crossed!!

I think this will be me, later, asking for a job.

  • Employer: I've read your résumé, I don't think you're really qualified for this job.
  • Me: What?
  • Employer: I'm sorry, but you'll have to leave now.
  • Me: You can't do this to me. I spent hours writing this résumé and combing my hair this morning.
  • Employer: I-
  • Me: I came out of my bed to come here.
  • Me: I had to take the bus and talk to people.
  • Me: PEOPLE.
  • Me: Do you realize how harsh it was?
  • Me: DO YOU EVEN REALIZE IT?
  • *smashes the table and shouts of rage*
  • *security comes*
  • Me: Wait no! No. Please take me, I'm calm and nice and I can smell a night blogger 100 miles away from me!
  • Me: Get off me you fuckin-
  • *gets kicked out*
  • *sobs*
  • *crawls until reaches computer*

mom: get a summer job

Oh, I totally forgot to tell you that that group interview went pretty sheit, lol. I took a train early in case something happened, which did; my train was delayed. But I was still on time, 2pm precisely but I then had to piss so bad so I went to the toilet first and after that I couldn’t find where it was because there was fucking no one around to ask. So I got in the room and they already started. Not bad or awkward but just not very handy. Oh also I was completely soaked because it was raining so fucking hard so I looked like an idiot.

There was only one spot left, next to the ‘interview’-dude. Now a lot of the time he was talking standing so I was basically forced to stare at his junk, that pas pretty awkward oh god.

Third thing was that they emailed us some little exercises we would discuss one on one. Turned out they were going to discuss them in the group one by one. And I was last all the fucking time so everything was said already. I looked up so much shit about this and I was prepared so well but almost everything was already said.

Last thing; all of them except me and some other girl already had callcenter job experiences.

So, with all of that together I don’t have a good feeling about this. They’ll call me tomorrow. Wether I’m accepted or not, I’m going to tell them anyway that it isn’t very smart to always put the same person as last or first to answer the questions.

Okay, sorry for this long rant. On another note; wolf hugs for all my cute followers! Right, going to bed, have a great evening/day/whereever you’re at :)

I just heard I passed the 3rd job-interview for this job, whoa!

Three down, one more to go; upcoming thursday I have a group interview. That’s the last one, if I pass that one I’ll have to follow 9 trainings and do a test. If that all works out, I’m in! Nervous D8
