in harry potter we don’t say “i love you” we say “LILY TAKE HARRY AND RUN GO I’LL WARD HIM OFF” which roughly translates to “james potter is better than your sorry ass” and i think that’s beautiful

is it weird that we’re not over lily and james’ deaths and they’ve been dead for literally the entire series

I definitely can’t be the only one who thinks that one of the reasons Dumbledore made Lily and James head boy and girl is because he had been shipping them together since their first year. 

Can we talk about how the pureblood wizard, who had likely grown up using magic constantly, and never lived in a world without magic, faced Voldemort, alone, without a wand, in an attempt to save his wife and son. James Potter I love you.

you know what kills me about james?

everyone is all like “james faced the dark lord wandless because he thought he could take him for lily and harry omg”

when really i think james knew all along he wouldn’t make it

he was offering himself up as a distraction to give his wife and his son time to escape knowing he’d die in the process
