En Memoriam

Seven years ago today, metal took a huge blow to its heart. Seven years ago, on December 8th 2004, at a concert in Columbus, Ohio, Darrel ‘Dimebag’ Lance Abbott, guitarist for the legendary Pantera, was murdered while performing onstage by Nathan Gale. The band’s head of security, Jeff Thompson, was also killed trying to stop Gale. So on this day, I would like to ask all of you to take a moment of silence in remembrance of a man who may be gone from this world but lives on through his music. Lower the horns and your heads for a few seconds my friends.

Requiescat en pace,
Darrel Lance Abbott
