Shay looked at herself in the mirror in her room at the Praetor headquarters. She had put on a tight black dress. It went down to about her mid thigh and had one should strap over her left shoulder. it was just black and just tight enough to hug her curves. She threw her hair up into a high ponytail leaving a few stands of hair down framing her face. She had very little make up, tonight she couldn’t have fun, she was on business, and when Shay was on business she engrossed herself in it. She hadn’t dressed up like this since she was with John a few years ago. A small pain stabbed her, but she quickly shook that away. She had a mission to take care of, just another one of her jobs with the praetor. She bent over and picked up her black combat boots sliding them on, as she did that she heard a slight knock on her door, and the groan of it being pushed open. Her father walked into the room with a frown.

“Shayana, what do you think you are wearing. You aren’t going to this party to have fun, your going to work. Go put you pants and jacket on please.” Shay scoffed, now he decides to be a parent. “Dad, I am wearing this so I don’t look like I am obviously on an assignment. They would all freak if I showed up in my Praetor gear.” She sighed picking up the dagger off her desk and shoving it into her boot. “Plus, I can hide my weapons. It works out perfectly.” She smiled slightly at her father at her clever ideas. He smiled back at her. “You are your father’s daughter.” He laughed a little and came over putting his hands on her shoulders kissing the top of her head. “You know I am just trying to keep you safe. I missed 18 years of your life, 18 years I didn’t even know you existed. I don’t want to loose you so soon.” She smiled, this was the first time her father had said anything like this to her. “I know dad, I feel the same way.” She really did, her dad was her idol. She learned everything she knew about being a praetor from him. He trained her personally, she assumed he expected her to take his place, but that  wasn’t going to be for quite some time. She turned to look at him but his face got serious. “Shayana, did you change a few nights ago? I have had 4 deaths reported that nigh, That was the night you didn’t come home.” Shay looked down at the floor and that was all the answer father needed. He sighed lifting her chin up with his fingers. “If you feel the need to change again tonight come straight home. Ok?” She nodded and her father kissed the top of her head “I love you Shayana don’t ever forget that.” Tears started to form in her eyes, her father had never said that to her. She wrapped her arms around him “I love you too dad, but I gotta go, or I am going to be late.” She released him picked up her leather jacket and ran out the door, looking back once to see him smiling proudly at her.

She ran out the door throwing on her jacket and making a run for central park. As she entered the park she slowed to a walk and made her way to the lake. She had only been in the court once. It was for the same type of assignment, so this was all natural. But then she didn’t know anyone, she wasn’t friends with anyone who attended these parties then, now she had friends and unfortunately enemies that go to them. She was seriously risking herself for the Praetor, but that was part of the job. She sighed and started at the lake almost too nervous to enter the faerie realm.

As Shay walked into the ball room, she pulled her jacket tightly across her front. Her eyes, and ears always alert. One of the reasons she made such a good Praetor was she could forget her personal life and just concentrate on her job. Tonight she was in search of a rogue downworlder. The only information her father gave her was that this rogue was starting to get out of control but he just needed her to look into it. She walked towards an open spot on the wall and leaned against it, keeping her eyes open and staying alert. Although Fae parties weren’t her favorite, an assignment is an assignment, and she would do anything for the praetor. She kept quite, while leaning against the wall, hoping no one would notice her.

Tis The Season to be Depressed

Christmas Time. Ally’s most favorite time of the year! All the decorations, the lights, the presents, the spirit, the food…It really was the best and she enjoyed it every single year. Yeah, well, not anymore. Not for a while, at least. Every time Christmas came around she was plagued with memories of a certain relationship she had with a certain someone whose name she didn’t even want to think of. Larry Paul. I said I didn’t want to think of his name! Stupid brain. She cursed in her mind as she strolled down the halls of the large court house, heading for the courtroom she was due to be in, in just ten minutes. As she walked through the halls, she would mumble something every now and then which would draw looks from people like if she was crazy and she had ended up bumping into a couple of people which caused her to snap. “Watch where you’re going! The hall is big enough for two people so why do you have to walk into my path, huh!?” Then with a quick shove, she moved on. Clearly, she wasn’t in the greatest of moods, but thinking of this case sort of lifted her spirits a bit because she had this. It would be a cinch. The Lawyer she was going up against was kind of a weirdo who didn’t seem to care much about this case, only the money, but he was still smart so she shouldn’t underestimate him too much, right? Well, she had to be confident. Taking a deep breath, Ally pushed open the doors to the room and in her mind she pictured herself making a grand entrance with the spotlight landing on her and people applauding. Only it didn’t happen that way. People were going on about their business so she walked down the aisle and over to the bench where he client was waiting, but wait…was that? No, it couldn’t be. Impossible. She could have sworn she saw Larry Paul on the other side; at the other bench, but she shrugged it off. Only an illusion. Simply because she was thinking of that evil man whom left her those many (months?) ago. She didn’t want to look again; she just didn’t want to see him. With a sigh, Ally shook hands with her client. “Hey, Rachel. Ready for today?” Ally asked with a polite smile, trying to get her spirits and confidence boosted.

Basketball // Takeru & Hikari

As soon as the bell rang, a huge grin spread through Hikari’s face. Today, she and Takeru would get to hang out together! With all the schoolwork and clubs they both had, they could rarely see each other, and to make things worse, they weren’t even in the same class. Basically, they only talked to each other during recess, between classes (sometimes), and very few times outside of school. Secretly, Hikari had been worried that they’d lose that connection they had, since they hadn’t really hung out in a while, but she always shrugged as her being silly. Even when they got separated, at the age of eight, they were still best friends when they met once again in fifth grade!

Hikari skipped through the hallways, careful not to bump into anyone. The last thing she’d want was to bump into someone, drop her books, and have to apologize and all that jazz. Not that it wouldn’t come naturally to her, since she always tended to watch out for others more than her, but she really didn’t want to be late to her date with Tak-

She stopped dead on her tracks, blushing furiously, did she really thought of their… their… whatever it was with him as a date? Hikari huffed and kept on walking, with a slower pace, this time. She was just being ridiculous. Even if she liked-liked Takeru, he’d never look at her in that way. No matter how old they got, they’d always be best friends. Besides, it’s not like she had a crush on him or something…

Hikari recollected her thoughts, reorganized them. She really didn’t want to be late to her get together with Takeru. Yes. That was better.

She would never want to ruin that precious friendship they had for something as silly as a crush, not that she had one, but it was best to keep it in mind. True, some of her non-digidestined friends sometimes pointed out that he was goodlooking, but to her, he’d always be the same eight years old cry baby. Hikari giggled slightly at the thought, he used to cry so much in the Digital World, but it had all changed, they had all changed. It would be called a calumniation if they dared to say that they, the digidestined, had come out of the Digital World the same as how they had entered.

Without even noticing, she got to the basketball court. For a moment, she thought that she had gotten there first, a proud smile almost made it’s way to her face, but as quickly as it had originated, it dissipated. Either her eyes were lying to her, or a certain blond had gotten there first than her and was already shooting some baskets.

I Only Love Once||LukaxYuki

It was a chilly day in the middle of spring. A soft wind nipped at the leaves of the blossoming Sakura trees, shaking them gently and letting a few drift to the ground below. Students that were out of school on spring break enjoyed the beautiful trees as they walked home. Couples held hands as they casted loving glances at one another. It was a beautiful sight to see. A side of humanity that was truly captivating. If only the world could be as peaceful and beautiful as this pink speckled park.

But it wasn’t. The world was filled with people of evil intent, hatred, lies, and pain. There were probably people in the park that were filled with hatred.  A couple with both parties being unfaithful to the other, children who picked on another child for simply being different, and so many other secrets could be hidden beneath those smiling faces.  The darkness that dwells within the human heart can be a frightening place. This darkness could fester from anyone, at any given time. It doesn’t only bring pain upon the person and the people around them, but it brings along even more sinister things.

Duras. Akumas. Demons. These creatures come from Infernos.

Most of these creatures lived on the darkness that dwelled within humans. They gave the push to humans that were at the edge of being completely consumed. Duras enjoyed causing harm to those around them and in return gaining greater power. The more powerful the duras the more power it had over the darkness in human hearts and other duras. One of the high levels of duras were Opasts that were just underneath the Demon King. These took on the form of beautiful humans to easily manipulate humans. They were able to cast high level spells, were extremely powerful, and feared.

However, there was one known duras that didn’t attack human, instead a duras that protected them. It was a powerful duras that was a General Class Opast. That was the highest level of duras besides Demon King in the Infernos. The duras worked alongside the Giou family, a family that had special abilities and battled against the duras to prevent them from taking over the world. They were said to have been descendants of God.

Why would a high level duras work alongside them? For one reason and one reason only… love. He had fallen in love with the beautiful Kami no Hikari of the Giou clan. She was a special person that was prized and needed by the clan in the fight against the duras. He admired her for the pain she endured for others. Even after her death he had dedicated his life to her soul. Upon another of her resurrections, caused by a spell casted by the leader of the Giou clan, he still stayed by her side even though she had been resurrected as a man and without memories of her past lives. He stayed with that person until they too passed on. Now he waits… for the day he can be with his loved one again as the battle with the duras still wasn’t over.

Luka Crosszeria gazed upon the park with indifferent eyes. It had been 16 years since Yuki’s latest resurrection. Yuki was born a male again and an orphan once more. Luka idly wondered if this was how it was supposed to be for the rest of Yuki’s resurrections, not that he minded. Upon the sense of a familiar presence, silver eyes like the moon zoomed in on the place it was coming from. Luka could see a familiar shade of hair and he could smell the scent of his loved one. A small graced itself on the duras’ handsome face.

image

The raven swiftly jumped down from the building he was crotched on top of him and into a nearby alley way. He walked out of the alleyway and through the throng of people to Yuki. Luka crossed the street at the light and headed towards the park. He lost sight of Yuki for a second before catching his scent and finding him again. However, he could also smell a few duras as well. Luka would wait for them to go on the attack before he showed himself to the other. Brand Zess, as he’s also known by, continued walking until he was only a few steps behind the peach-head boy. He calmly walked behind him and checked left and right to catch sight of the duras. They probably wouldn’t make their move until Yuki was alone and Luka would be ready for them.

do u guys wanna hear a joke

ok so there’s 3 guys lost on an island and they get captured by this tribe and the tribe leader’s like “go to the forest and bring back 10 of one fruit” so the first guy brings back 10 apples and the tribe leader’s like “stuff these apples up your butt without laughing or i’ll shoot u” and the first guy got up to the 3rd apple and started laughing so he got shot and died

Jake Jr. Is gonna turn out to be an awesome gal. I just know it. She seems like the sassy type who wouldnt let her apperance get to her much. Im not really sure how she’s gonna end up but i think she’d end up like toph, not letting her blindness get in her way of achieving her goals.

Even better is that her dad thought that she was the most worthy of having his name. And she deserves it. Because she beared the weight of ricardio’s attack, survived birth, and actually functions normally. That’s why Jake gave her his name, becase she has already showed herself worthy of being an adventurer.

I can just see her someday becoming an adventurer just like her dad. When she become restless, lady would take her aside to tell her about her encounter with ricardio and to tell herhow proud she is of her daughter exceeding her expectations by miles. And she’ll set out adventuring. Someday she may come across an ailing ricardio and in a feat of rage challenge him to a battle. His pride unrelenting, feeble ricardio would try his best to fight Jake jr. Slinging heat-breakin truths at her about her apperance and how it was intentional (that would be a lie formed in the heat of the moment, ricardio probably didnt know of lady’s condition at the time). With all of her might she would throw ricardio to the ground, raise her sword high, and stop to consider the positive affects of a conversation. She’d sit down ,and with as much sass as empathy talk, it out with the guy. And that would be it. Ricardio defeated, Jake jr would breifly return to her home to tell her siblings of her adventure. And in the morning set out again for a new one.

This place is death [Squirrely Dixon & Marley]

Bright mint colored eyes stared widely in to the now milky white pupils of a lost friend. Everything was in slow motion at this point, the way she backed herself against the passenger side door, how she gripped the double barrel shot gun with both hands, index finger hugging the trigger and a pain building inside her knowing she had to do it. “No….-” she choked cocking the gun and taking aim. “-ive killed more.” her words were a last will intedtimate to her friend before she pulled the trigger. The shot gun blast rang loudly throughout the front cab of the speeding van, drivers side widow shattering and his head hitting the horn. She attempted to save the vehicle but she was out of time, within seconds the van swerved and flipped sending her flying to the side, her head slamming against the passenger window knocking her unconscious.

Marlena jolted forward as if she’d heard a loud /bang/ reflexively grabbing the nine milemeter she kept Tucker under her folded trench coat thatshe used as a pillow. Her heart was pounding, and she was covered in a cold sweat, gripping the pistol as if her life depended on it, aiming at miles of nothing but trees ahead of her. “shit…” she mumbled, her posture slumping forward. It was difficult for her to get a good nights rest, so many memories of te past continued to haunt her. Wiping the beads of sweat from her forehead she released an irritated huff through pouted lips and fell back, head hitting the soft dusty fabric of her coat.

She looked to the sky, taking in how beautiful the stars were, and wishing she could be there now. Would be a whole hell of a lot better than the world as it was now. It wasn’t long before the stars had lulled her back to sleep when a distant sound had her eyes fluttering open. She held her breath listening for the sound again.

Cruuuunch

She swallowed hard, her long running along her lower lip as she pushed herself up.

Snap!

That’s when she jumped to her feet, pistol in both hands and her eyes in the direction of the noise as a loud thump followed. She winced, attempting to see whatever had been causing the noise in the distance, it wasn’t much, light noises, mainly sounded as if someone had quietly taken out a walker but she couldn’t be sure of it. There was only one way to find out.

“psst.” she tried to make herself known to any human, without gaining attention from walkers which was difficult. “psst” she huffed when no reply came and finally decided to speak. “someone out there?” her voice was low, almost a whisper. She knew they hant been too close or her alarm system would have alerted her of it, she was going to have to be louder, and that wasn’t a risk she was going to take, but if she was going to get sleep tonight, she would have to locate the cause of the noise.

Arming herself with her crossbow instead of the loud pistol she passed the barrier towards the noise, wincing at the site of a silhouette in the distance. /knew it, fuckin walker/ she rolled her eyes approaching with caution and ready to take action until the shadowy figure moved, and not like any geek she’d seen, when close enough to see hik she found herself face to face, as well as cross bow to cross cow with a man, her body had frozen before then, her heart skipping a beat, she had been so close to pulling the trigger and could have killed the man. “Fuck!” she yelled out once she had gained access to her mobile and vocal abilities. “I almost shot ya’” She was completely surprised and baffled by It all, not having seen another survivor in months.

It's All For You → Jacob and Marky

Once he finally caught the small, giggling girl, Marky picked up the damp paper towel from the counter and wiped it along her mouth and hands. Sitting down on the couch, a smile etched itself onto his face as Lyra started playing with his curls again. “You love my curls, don’t you?” He giggled, remembering back to the earlier situation and the fact he still hadn’t cleaned the syrup out of his hair. Watching her just shake her head as she tried to move away from him, the brunette began bouncing his daughter on his knee gently. “I’m going to need you to be on your best behavior when daddy’s friend comes over.” He sighed, tossing her up into the air carefully as he stood up, laughing at her constant giggling after. Marky didn’t exactly know where his mind was at the moment. A portion of it was fixed on taking care of Lyra. Another was focusing on making sure Harry was going to have a good Christmas, knowing it had always been his favourite holiday yet Marky’s second least. And then there was a part, a large part, just thinking, lingering on Jacob. It still hurt him that he had finally found someone that he truly liked more than a friend, not just someone he wanted to sleep with, and they had no interest in him in that way.

But he just sighed, and started toward his bedroom to change his clothes. The little girl’s head tucked into the crook of Marky’s neck and a smile spread across her babyish face. “Daddy!” She squeaked before the two were about to enter his room, her hand pointing up to the door frame. The boy’s emerald eyes looked up and snagged on the tiny plant hanging over them. “Mistletoe…” He whispered, smiling somewhat shyly as he pecked Lyra’s cheek. It had always been a tradition for his mum to put mistletoe up around almost every doorway and he always thought it was stupid. But she continued to do it anyway and it became stupider and stupider each year. With a loud sigh, he moved into his room and set the girl down on the bed. Handing her the small stuffed giraffe that she always played with, the curly haired boy quickly grabbed a change of clothes before he buried himself in his closet to change.
