Ok so Portia wanted me to post my theory:
I never understood why, for the Golden Age of Grotesque, they all dyed their hair light blonde, but Marilyn remained black-haired. I’ve literally been wondering about this for about 2 years. I knew it had something to go with Germany and Nazism but I couldn’t ever see the connection. Then one day I was lying in bed thinking and thought about how my teacher had said Hitler thought the ideal human being was a tall, slim man with pale skin and fair hair, which was ironic since Hitler had black hair.
AND THEN I REALIZED.
