A canon boomed, and that smirky golden haired asshole Joffrey was dead. Dead, but Arya was still pissed, still stomping around his body and yelling, like he could hear her, like her words still had impact.
But then she remembered, and she turned around, eyes narrowed, mouth still open. “Oh,” she breathed, and she looked at Gendry lying on the ground, face twisted up in pain, hands trying in vain to staunch the blood from the cut Joffrey gave him.
“Just do it,” he told her, begged her, really, and she wondered if the Capitol were beside themselves at this, the best show they’d had in years.
“No,” she said back, and she fell down next to him, jaw jutting out, arms crossed. “They’ll have to fucking deal, won’t they?” she yelled into the arena.
