To people searching The Selection or The Elite tag looking for a free download

Stop it. You have no idea how many people it took to make my book. You’re ripping off tons of very hardworking, awesome people. If you cannot afford to buy the book, I get it. Go to a library. That’s what it’s for. Also, friends.

And to people offering to distribute my book… Not. Cool.

Imagine if every single one of the artists music you’ve illegally downloaded came to your house and as punishment stole your lamps, curtains and did the Gangman style dance the entire time while doing so.

Since when has Jared been ok with illegal downloading???? omfg...you NEED to see Artifact

And you need to see the Q&A at the TIFF screening of Artifact

You know, whatever makes you sleep well at night. I don’t really care. I don’t get in the middle of that debate. I’m happy if people stea-… If given the choice, you are gonna steal my album and listen to it, or not listen at all? Steal it and listen to it, of course! If you wanna buy it, I guess, buy it. What makes me angry about people who defend illegally downloading music

is that they say “most of the money goes to the record label”. Yes, that may be true, but does the label not deserve some money? For one thing, they’re the ones promoting the band, paying out the money for music videos, posters, photoshoots, studio time, producers, album artists and so on.

If the label didn’t get any money do you really think that the artist would be able to even have a career?
