I just really love the idea of Dean and Cas’ first kiss being gentle and sweet and a surprise for the both of them, like neither of them is even sure who initiates it but one moment they’re just staring at each other and the next they’re softly pressing their mouths together, and it’s so unlike the rest of their lives which are filled with fighting and running and shouting, and they’ll always be able to remember this moment as truly peaceful as they finally understand just what they mean to each other.
