But this really is not a replay of season 6 Dean/Cas-wise.
Dean is acting differently. He’s actually saying what the real problem is - Cas not trusting him, and Cas acting in such a way that means that Dean can’t trust him in return - instead of making it about something else (Cas working with Crowley) or some higher principle (~Family~). And he’s mad at Cas, but he’s not cutting him out. He wants Cas to stick around and tells him to stay in the bunker. Dean’s just allowing himself time to be angry.
Cas is acting differently. He’s not getting defensive. He wants to make things up to Dean.
And the conflict is presented differently. There’s the emotional music, and Sam telling Dean to go easy on Cas, and then a comedic scene of Cas trying to earn Dean’s favour by doing his shopping for him. This is not a huge rift. It’s a spat.
