I've come up with a great halloween costume. I'm gonna dress up as a white person for halloween, since this stupid debate about appropriation is starting up again.
I’m gonna wear ray-ban wayfarers, some sort of ironic tshirt, a big cozy oversized sweater, a pea coat, an unseasonably warm scarf, jeggings (all of it will be vintage) and of course a pair of the tommiest TOMS I can find!
Of course I can’t forget the exotic messenger bag with adjustable side straps. In it will be a moleskine for sure, and some flyers for the local indie electronic band performance next weekend.
I’ll make sure to ride in on an archaic pastel colored fixed gear bike, with a yoga mat in the straw basket. As a guest for the host of the halloween party I’ll bring the freshest local microbrewed beer and the hippest vegan gluten free hummus dip and some chai tea and also some naan bread.
It’s going to be an expensive costume, in fact it will be ludicrously overpriced and really make no sense at all. I just want my costume to be AS AUTHENTIC AS POSSIBLE, GUYS.
