“We're fascinated by the words--but where we meet is in the silence behind them.”

—Ram Dass

“Classification of fantasy and reality is itself a fantasy that humans created. Life begins when you make a distinction between yourself and others. From that moment on, the world becomes a stage for the story in which you are the main character. All humans live in a fantasy in which they are the main character. But the world doesn't recognize you as the main character at all. What nonsense. Everyone lives their entire life tormented by this confusion. There's only one way out of this hell. To place yourself in a position that is neither the main character nor a supporting role. In other words, the Author.”

Holy fuck, I’ve been reading through a TON of MRA and Feminist blogs tonight. This has been a roller coaster ride. Both have valid points, both have their loons. This whole thing is very touchy, and plenty of people have very strong opinions whether they be conservative to radical. I’ve seen so much penis and vagina fear it makes me wonder. Why the fuck is everyone fighting? I came to a conclusion that I think people have been tiptoeing around. The word Feminism. Feminism is a movement for everything to become better, but there’s the problem. FEMALE is equated with it. This calls the crazies out, both men, women, or third gender to throw their radical thoughts in, and make the entire movement bogged down, off track, or maybe even laughed at.There is obviously a problem with people seeing it as equal rights when it’s called Feminism. There’s probably been plenty of people smarter than me to say this, but why don’t we just call it Humanity? When you take out the word that people hate and make it gender-neutral and applying to ALL humans, something I’m guessing everyone reading this can relate to (Unless you’re an alien or something else granted sentience) where we address the problems in society BOTH MALE AND FEMALE at the same time. In the end all we’re doing is making groups to war against each other with. If we take out the part everyone hates and people start to work tword equality EQUALLY, we start to see that the other side isn’t so bad. We grow to learn about it, and accept it. This will obviously not fix everything, there are still issues that we would need to iron out, but instead of calling people to rally behind women, call them to rally behind their neighbors, their friends, their fellow humans. This is probably a fleeting hope, and sounds naive at first, but just give it a thought.

“It is easy in the world to live after the world's opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude.”

—Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Spirituality is not to be learned by flight from the world, or by running away from things, or by turning solitary and going apart from the world. Rather, we must learn an inner solitude wherever or with whomsoever we may be. We must learn to penetrate things and find God there.”

—Meister Eckhart

“History has revealed too many people who have tried to be spiritual before they have learned how to be human! It is a major problem. Maybe this is why Jesus came to model humanity for us—much more than divinity.”

—Richard Rohr
