here's a funny story

there’s that meme going around that asks “how long has x character been around and how have they changed?” WELL. It’s been exactly a year since I started drawing these centaurs (I know, right?) and so

I thought I’d share the first ever drawings of Rook with you guys ahahaha. thank goodness I’ve gotten better at drawing since then wow

as you can see from the lower right I’ve wanted to break his legs since the beginning. I also didn’t have centaur proportions down at all ouch

things that have changed:

+  that stupid army brand on his shoulder

+ a heart. he was originally a cold-blooded killer (I mean, there’s still a bit of that, but.)

- generic bishounen face

- earring

+ some weight. a skinny underfed waif of a centaur isn’t going to be carrying anyone long distance or beating anybody up anytime soon
