Congratulations to some members of the OUAT fandom: You have successfully made me feel awful!
There has been a post going around about how there can’t be non-heterosexual romantic relationships on the show because it’s “a family show.” Along with all the other homophobic crap i have seen floating around before.
This ”Because it’s a family show“ has to stop.
I’m sick of this argument “Because it’s a family show”. Its weak, ignorant and filled to the brim with prejudice. It makes me feel like crap, like my sexuality is somehow wrong and dirty. As if somehow I’m damaging families if my sexuality is represented on a show.
So stop with the whole “I have nothing against gay people” because clearly you do if you think having our relationships represented on television in “family shows” is a ridiculous idea. For fuck sake I don’t want nor expect a fucking porno. I just want to watch a fairytale were even someone like me can get a happy ending or even at least represented on a show I like.
Do you have any idea how heartbreaking it is to be considered less than others and wrong? Like my sexuality means I’m not appropriate to be represented on TV.
These posts made me fucking cry, because it’s just one big reminder that I will never fully fit into society. So cheers!
