What 4/13 means to me

I’ve not been in the fandom for any significant length of time, and this will be my first 4/13 as a homestuck!

But it will also probably sadly be our last 4/13 as Homestucks with the comic updating. : <

And I just…

These last few months have been a whirlwind. From meeting the cherubs to  watching Caliborn: Enter, to meeting the dancestors to the betas finally reaching the alpha session. (We won’t talk about Act 6 Act 5 Act 1) It’s all been fun, crazy, and just… Homestuck.

As much as 4/13 is about the comic and celebrating it, it’s more about celebrating the people you read it with.

It’s about the friends you’ve made, who you’ve gone to cons and meetups and cosplayed with, who you’ve spent hours chatting with about obscure theories with into the wee hours of the night.

It’s about those times when we as a fandom cried together, when we laughed together, and when we had collective WTFs together.

It’s about all the fanart we drew, the fanfics we wrote, the stupid jokes we made, and all the times we yelled “HUSSIEEEEEEEE” into the sky

So this 4/13, while it will probably be our last one with the comic, take a moment to thank those who have made the experience enjoyable for you. Give your homestuck friends a hug. Tell them how great they are. Tell them why you love them to bits (whether it be in <> or <3< or <> or o8< ).

But most importantly, remember that we’re all one big Homestuck family.
