I’m taking my mum out for lunch and a pedicure because I don’t seem to do anything conventionally and Mother’s Day was three days ago. I should mention this a monthly thing we do anyway.
I don’t believe in holidays because I don’t like something as abstract as a day out of the year telling me what I should do or how I should act. Which is also why I think things like Throwback Thursday are unnecessary—even though it’s not a holiday.
Show appreciation for others whenever you want (or can). Feel nostalgic about old pictures when you do and act accordingly. Don’t do it because a day suggested it.
