Nice…’

I’m glad you liked it, Drew; many thanks! It is interesting to consider how varies with each person what we can understand ‘nice’ or interesting as a subject for a photograph. I was attracted by the geometry of that staircase, but I’m sure my mother would consider a nonsense shooting at such an object!

‘Again, big wow! so clear and sharp. subject is pwretty nice as always’.

And your words are pwretty kind and nice, as usual ;)! On the sharpness in my photos, I must admit I tend to be ‘a little too’ concerned (should I say ‘obsessed’, perhaps?) about obtaining the highest definition possible, for what I usually shoot triying to take advantage of the focusing  ‘sweet spot’ in the lenses I use (and using always the highest f numbers that I can, in the aperture). I am aware that it is an personal aesthetic choice whose outcome may be hyperealistic and, as I was told once by my dear Tumblr fellow Fernando Socorro -qbnscholar-  that falls squarely within the field of digital photography and moves away in the same degree of subtlety in the details and the amazing qualities characteristic of chemical photography.

‘…just another stunning, perfect b&w minimalism, Juan Manuel - love the lightplay on the metal! (but it would be nice to see the colour version, too! ;) )’.

Thanks Eva for this warm support! I feel completely desolated but I have not been able to find the raw file from which it derives this picture In black and white (for now!), but I can say that I opted for the process in monochrome because, although it seems contradictory, it offered more variety of tones that the color image. In this, one could see how the ladder, and the column to which is fixed were painted in a light blue color that stood out very little against the bright blue sky. So, no matter how much I adjusted the tone curves I was only able to get a fairly ‘flat’ image. Too minimalist, even for my taste :)!

‘Perfecta! :D’

Muchas gracias! Se trata de la escalera de evacuación de un Roller Coaster que me pareció muy interesante por sí misma. La luz era magnífica y tenía una buena perspectiva, así que aquí está :)!

‘Love the light - the contrasts - gorgeous shot again!

Many thanks for your nice words Jürgen! With regard to the contrasts, I tried not to force them too much to preserve in the process all the subtle range of tones that could be seen both on the stairs and in the sky!

‘Wow!!!!’

Thanks Thanks Thank you all mates! I was lucky enough to shoot in a morning when the light was beautifully clear and the sky outrageously blue. All this helped the reflection to be sharp and pure. But I’m afraid it is difficult to be minimally original when you take a picture like this, however beautiful it result!

‘That perfect minimalism again (love the composition) - and gorgeous colours!’

Thank you very much, Eva! Yes, I can not stop shooting when I stand in front of this type of scene, and those colors!. And that I know that many people consider boring these deep blue skies … But I love them!

‘Nice framing as usual’.

Kind and friendly, as usual … :). With respect to the framing, I have to admit I did two takes of this place: the one you have seen and the same in vertical format. And I had a hard time deciding on one of the two!
