Alright, so you should all know by now that Fleet Foxes are some of the most talented dudes on the planet. It’s been a thought of mine to cover one of their songs for quite some time, but I simply can’t do it justice all by my lonesome. So I reached out to my lovely and talented lady friend Melanie to provide some help in this and I can only hope to make this cover as grand as the original so I’m also asking for help from you other interweb hooligans. Some male vocals, some drums, guitars, and anything else y’all can think of to make this jazzy and groovy as all hell!! An internet collaboration to die for!! Any help would be so greatly appreciated and I’d be super excited to hear all your thoughts on it. For any questions you cuties have talk to me here.

skins to buy?
ok so a while ago a friend of mine suggested that i offer to put up my skinning services for sale. i told her she was absolutely ridiculous to say such a thing. however now i’m kind of considering it. so this is essentially an interest check on such a thing. how many admins out there would be willing to buy a skin for their site? would it depend on the features of the skin? the exclusivity of it? or is the price the over all determining factor? below were somethings i was considering when thinking about this:
different types of skins
- basic skins that anyone can buy and change the colors of to suit their graphics. nothing overtly fancy. probably about 10 to 15 USD. no templates.
- nicer (for lack of a better word) skins with basic site templates and mini profiles (if you’re a jcink user) 20 USD
- custom skin. basically you tell me what you want/need and i do my best to fulfill your needs and make you happy. of course there are some things that i’m not that great at/don’t know how to do. i would let you know up front if i couldn’t do what you do want and would try to figure out how to do it. if i cant figure out how to fix the problem within two to three days i’ll let you know and we can figure something else out. i will even swallow my damn artistic pride and if you want neon colors and comic book sans that’s what you get. 30 USD
- custom skins with basic site templates and mini profiles 40USD
- graphics (header, sidebar, and advertisement) additional 5 dollars. if more graphics are needed then we can negotiate that. though to be honest i don’t even know if i would do graphics because i don’t want to deal with copyright issues and what not.
would any of these skins be available on caution, atf, shine etc
- these skins will not be resources on sites. they will only be available through me. you will receive the codes via email after payment has been received.
what about thieves?
- well people suck. and people will steal. i can’t gaurentee that some dick won’t look through the source codes. all that i can do is report it to resource sites that i’m active members of. i encourage you to do the same if you find that you’re ever in that situation.
in regards to pricing
- minimum wage where i live is 7.50 USD an hour. it takes me at least three hours to code a skin and that’s if i do it in one sitting and i’m only doing the basics of the forum and if i’m really inspired. sometimes skins can take upwards of six hours to complete depending on their complexity and that pesky trait of perfectionism that i can’t seem to shake.
how long would it take to make a skin?
- it should take me no more than one week to get a custom skin done.
- if you’re purchasing a basic skin or a skin set i will email the codes as soon as i receive confirmation from paypal.
that’s all that i can think of at the moment. i’ve never run a web based store before. i don’t have any of this set up yet. this is just an interest check at the moment. i would very much like to hear any feed back or tips that you have. you can reply, reblog, send me an ask, fanmail or use submissions to tell me your thoughts. anything is appreciated at this point.
CALLING ALL COSPLAYERS!
Me and my friend Kate have decided that it would be really, really great to get a bunch of cosplayers from around the world to help out with a little video. The video in question will be multifandom, and you can cosplay whoever you want! The video will be to the song “here in your arms” by hellogoodbye. And will be based around romantic ships & friendships, you will basically just have to film some lip sync or just frolicking around or doing something cute with other cosplayers. It doesn’t matter how many people are in it! In fact, you could just be on your own and dancing or singing and we’ll still include you! It would be really great if we could get a bunch of people in on this!

…whispered the anon who desperately wanted to be friends with Samm. But he/she can’t. For you see, said anon is a ghost. Longing for the warmth of another person’s touch. And as Samm snarks in reply, a single tear slides down his/her anon ghost face, as he/she stifles his/her sobs with his/her ghost hands. Poor, tragic anon. His/her sincerity goes unheeded once again.
I don't normally do this;
But I have seen all this hate Danneel Ackles is receiving and it is totally and utterly ridiculous, You people should be ashamed of yourselves. It’s one thing to say you don’t like her, but to post personal pictures of her wedding day and verbally attack her mother and family members? It’s a down right disgrace and you know what makes this whole thing a whole lot sadder is that fact that Danneel is receiving this hate because she is married to Jensen. It’s down right disrespectful. I don’t give a rat’s ass what age you are or how immature you are, but surely we were all brought up the same and that was to treat people with respect just as you would like to be treated.
Danneel might be an actress but she’s just like you and me, she has feelings and I’m pretty sure the things she has read have hurt her, because I’ve read some of them and they’ve hurt me. What do these people think they’re going gain from this? Jensen divorcing Danneel? That’s not going happen. He’s completely in love with her. It doesn’t take a fool to see that. I’m not saying fans of Jensen have to be fans of Danneel because she is his wife, By all means no. But atleast have respect for the woman that makes him happy. The woman that has supported him through thick and thin. The girl that has stood by him for years now. The girl that helps him with his lines, the woman that puts a smile on his face every time he speaks about her. The woman that has put her family plans on hold so that her husband could please his fans by being in Vancouver 9 months out of a year. Yeah, that’s just a short list of why you people should respect Danneel Ackles as a human being.
Then you have the deluded fans that hate Danneel because they think Jensen and Jared are really a couple and Danneel is a cover up. [laughs hysterically] Oh I’m sorry, but really? I understand Wincest, because Sam and Dean are fictional characters but Jensen and Jared isn’t. They are both happily married. So quit mixing reality and fiction.
Then there’s the fans that complain because Jensen doesn’t smile at them or Jensen doesn’t stop to sign anything; Well would you? I’m pretty sure he has read or heard about these fans bashing his wife. For all he knows it could be any one of us. It’s giving us all a bad name. Even though most of the fandom supports both Danneel and Gen. But if the shoe was on the other foot and Jensen was receiving hate from fans, Do you honestly think Danneel would stop and sign and be all happy with fans? I doubt it. I’m not saying this is what Jensen is like, but think about it. I’m sure he has heard of the hate that his lovely wife is receiving and he is a little ticked off. Any one would be. I just think these ‘Jensen lovers.’ or whatever they call themselves, because their certainly not fans of his are giving the fandom a bad name. It’s no wonder everyone on Supernatural think us female fans hate any woman that get’s close to ‘Our boys’ but again, that’s the show, but in reality the biggest part of the fandom support and care for their wives. But these haters are making it look bad for us all.
An other thing that is sad too see is when a fan at a convention say’s to Jensen ‘Tell Danneel we love her.’ that he actually looks shocked that we say it. Has it actually got to the point that the poor guy thinks ever female fan hates his wife?
If anyone has a twitter, Please help to get rid of the haters, It wont take up much of your time. Just report this user and anyone that is involved with her. By her picture she is a fake, Plus she can’t barely speak properly, but that’s not the point, The point is she is cyber-bully and verbal attacking Danneel and her family, Surely as a fandom we can get rid of the account, After all we’re all a family? and Family stick together.
