Why doomed John Egbert is incredibly tragic.
So while re-reading homestuck I noticed something about doomed john.
His corpse was apparently burned.
But his denizen uses wind powers.
So I was thinking, when does air burn you? And it hit me.
Steam. Doomed John was boiled to death.
And remember, his denizen gave him the choice between being allowed to leave fine and living out his days in a doomed timeline, or sacrificing himself so that dave becomes davesprite which allows the alpha universe to exist. John Egbert cares enough about his friends that he gave his consent to being BOILED ALIVE to let them win the game.
dean hiding little chocolate eggs all over the motel room while sam’s sleeping because he wants sammy to have a real easter with a real easter egg hunt and even though it meant he had to give up his lunch money for two days to afford it he gladly went hungry because it was totally worth the giant smile on his baby brother’s face when he heard the easter bunny came
but harry’s little girl having tea parties in her room with her stuff animals/dolls and harry, making him wear one of her tiaras going ‘you’re a princess too daddy’ and making him sing silly songs with her and telling him to pass the sugar to the teddy bear and he’d actually enjoy playing with his kid it’d be the highlight of his day wow no
do you ever think maybe sam compares every girl he’s with to jessica and he hates that he does it but he can’t help thinking that this one’s laugh is louder and that one’s smile isn’t as bright and jessica would’ve thought that joke was funny so why isn’t this one laughing at it?
and he wants to stop because it hurts so badly but it hurts even worse to think of forgetting her
I fully expect a scene in season 5 where Blaine and Kurt are about to go different directions for class and Blaine is all
“See ya later, babe” and then they both lean in for a quick kiss and when they pull away they pause and lean in for a longer and firmer kiss
and then they smile at each other before separating and all they can do is just keep on smiling all throughout the day
Colin actually didn’t know that Bradley was showing up, and throughout the entire production— even through the intermission— Bradley hid so as to surprise him.
But when the ending of the play neared and Colin stepped up to give his last solo, he looked up and saw Bradley— hair glimmering even in the shadowed box seat he sat comfortably in, lounging back with that smug smile of his. Colin took a breath, eyes widening in disbelief, and as Bradley grinned at him, motioning with his hands (the familiar ring sparkling back) to continue, the only thing Colin could do was burst in a joyful laughter.
He didn’t even care that he missed his solo… all he knew at that moment was how much he missed his Bradley.
