Oh God! Literally almost hit a random older dude in the middle of the street about 10 minutes ago...
Guy, wearing dark clothes like an idiot, was walking in the middle of a back way street where you literally can’t see until you turn and almost collide with it. I had to literally swerve away to keep from hitting him and he just continued walking the same way…completely expressionless (which REALLY fucked with me). I finally stopped shaking…GAH! Cannot do rain and random creepiness at the same time.
I hate people who say judgmental things and think they sound funny. Excuse you.
Today in my societies and cultures of the U.S. class my teacher once again brought up rebellion and showed us pictures of “modern day rebellion”, one of them being a goth. One of the guys who always speaks and must have something to say on every little topic decided it would be completely okay for him to “de-humanize” her by saying she was depressed, weird, psycho, “have you ever sat next to one of them?”.
Then the guy next to me was like, “I don’t get goths, like why they’re so sad and stuff. I mean the ones I see are all driving Bentley’s and shit, what do they have to be sad about?”
Okay so that automatically means that they’re going to be happy? By saying that because they have nice cars, nice clothes, a nice house, you are saying that they are not at all entitled to feeling sad, depressed, or having any problems whatsoever. You are invalidating their feelings, both on the subject of because they are rich and/or goth. They are allowed to feel what they want to feel, that is it.
And it frustrates me because this is a college class you know? And my teacher obviously looks peeved by it but he won’t really say anything, and it’s just like how can you sit there and make these certain groups of people we talk about seem less human through name calling while our teacher lectures to us every day about the racism and sexism culture that happened and is happening in America. Like do you not, understand the point? Just because it isn’t racism or sexism does not mean it is not some form of oppression.

My friend has had a sh*tty family life and it has affected her emotionally and academically and I’m so f***ing angry right now because she’s really smart but doesn’t have a high enough GPA to basically get into the colleges she deserves. Plus all FOUR of her parents get a double F— in parenting. They are absolute sh*t parents.
God d*mmit this bread and butter is delicious.
