i'm looking through you

i was in a ‘pale neutral layers’ kinda mood this weekend after a cleanout of my dresser. while re-folding all of my clothes, i found 2 dresses i can barely remember ever wearing. one is a short cream-colored knit, and the other a long, completely sheer ivory with eyelet. i’ve always loved the long dress on the hanger, but could never find anything suitable to wear underneath. finally i tried layering the 2 dresses with a short slip skirt and a sweater, and voila- a suitably opaque outfit made up of three see-through layers.

the sweater was another item i unearthed from a crumpled mess in the bottom of my dresser, and has become a new favorite thing. i love when something that has been in your closet for years suddenly feels brand new.
