—Combating Islamophobic violenceI was taken out of first period to go to the counselor’s, the reason being, as my vice principal stated, that somebody’s parent had reported that I said “I want to die”. (I have no idea whose parent could possibly have heard me say that, to be honest.)
For that first introductory “session” I couldn’t look her in the eyes (what else is new), and I don’t know about this. I saw her last period too, when I was in a much less foul mood, and it was okay. I might take regular counselling now, but I’m not sure. She used the “if you had a broken leg, would you keep it a secret?” thing, which made my heart stop, because that may mean she thinks I might have an Actual Real mental illness. A lot of things she said made me think that, but maybe I’m just being paranoid.
I will totally post pictures later this week of my birthday date that was fun and the delicious FOOD. You guys need to see the food OKAY it was just SO GOOD.
Anyway, short update on life briefly. I’m working on papers and stuff right now. Also, GREAT news! Tony did his FAFSA and it turns out he’s going to be set for a year and will be doing decently overall with loans! I’m so freaking happy. Like this is the best thing that could happen and ugh. He will probably be able to go to the college I go to now and still work and…it’s really just the best news ever. I’m really thankful. It’s been such a struggle financially. He’s gonna do great. I love him so much. <3
Now if only things would turn around for me soon and if I could land a job in the summer I would be set. Other then that tomorrow I’m going to Joey’s party for becoming a U.S. Citizen! <3 Go Joey! She also got the job she wanted so I’m proud of her too. I think it’s gonna be a small party for her and then they’re gonna hit some bars. If I go to a bar I’m not going to really drink (I have work later anyway). I’ll be their safety person. Haha.
