DIY Weekend

Had a strong urge to get crafty this weekend. First up was marbleized shot glasses (idea and instructions from Honestly WTF). So nifty. All one needs is nail polish, some painters tape, and water. My glasses had a concave bottom, so it took a few tries for me to get the paint on there without a big blank space in the middle. The trick was to put the glasses in there at an angle, rather than just straight down. Anyway, here are a few photos: 

This was right after dipping the glasses into the paint.. a bit messy. 

But the mess was so worth it. Look how pretty!

I also did a small thing.. pearls on bobby pins. Pretty easy to do: just wire a pearl bead onto a bobby pin.. and presto!
