Classic X-Men Hilarity.

I’ve just started reading the first Marvel Masterworks: Uncanny X-Men. It’s the first appearance of the new characters and team. The very first. EXCITEMENT!

They all have to jump out of the jet to get onto Krakoa.

So Cyclops calls them out and there’s a marvelously doofy picture of Colossus with both his arms in the air (kind of like he’s going YEYYYY! KRAKOA! ADVENTURE TIMES GUYS!).

So Colossus goes ahead and jumps out of the plane.

And Storm’s all like: “COLOSSUS YOU FOOL! YOU CAN’T BLOODY FLY!” and picks him up before he plummets to his doom.

I’m just cracking up at the fact that Pietr brazenly jumps out of the jet without thinking it through. Instead of going “Oh doy - of course: I’m made of metal. I’m going to sink like a stone!” Peter I adore you, but what are you doing?

It’s just. I can’t stop laughing at this. I’m trying to find a screen-cap of the actual panels as it makes me laugh far too much.
