Dopplereffekt

Dopplereffekt || infophysix

Dopplereffekt is great. Chill electronic music from the late 90s. I think it’s interesting how they only have one interview with them and a handful of live gigs; no one knows who they are.

Alright, after your last post, I must know more about you. Are your a prof? a secondary school teacher? someone who kidnaps random strangers in order to teach them things? Tell me more about you, and I mean that in the most non-creepy way I can considering I'm on the internet and we are strangers. Right. Awkward exit stage left.

Ha ha! The disguise is off, Sherlock: I’m not Lord Byron!

I’m an ex theatre director, now PhD-Film student, and I’m currently working as assistant lecturer at a university in England. I’m lucky enough to be teaching a very exciting first-year undergraduate module which combines 20th century literature, theory, cultural studies, drama, film, photography and art.

Besides baseball, whales, the history of the Soviet Space Programme, armadillos, Russian literature, tie-wearing men, and Bruce Springsteen those are my great obsessions. But I doubt an undergraduate course exists that would combine them all.

Exit, pursued by a bear.

Gesamtkunstwerk - Total Art

I’m no Wagnerian, but I think that Gesamtkunstwerk describes the works of creative polymaths using the Internet to create their oeuvre. For Wagner “Total Art” meant creating operas that combined music, theater, and the visual arts. But Wagner didn’t have a Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, or Ableton Live.
