a rail link to the Georgian (Bay) Triangle

With winter almost just around the corner, many snowboarders (and skiiers too) can’t wait to hit the slopes. Most of them will go up north (as far as Muskoka) to hit the slopes. Some will take their car there. Others will take chartered buses.

I’ve stumbled upon reading an article by my colleague Andrae Griffith on his “MetroTHINK” blog about a proposed rail link to the Georgian Bay Triangle from Toronto that his fellow colleagues did a presentation on last year.

In today’s society, many people wanted to find ways on how to get to cottage country without relying on their parents, so to speak.

Greyhound is the only (and if not, the only) provider that provides service from Toronto to Collingwood - but the scheduling is very scarce. Had the rail link existed today, then it would provide a boost of tourism to cottage country.
