See, the definition of a hipster is someone who goes against anything mainstream, including clothes, music, and political views even. That’s great for hipsters. But, lately, being hipster has become quite popular. Everyone’s a labeled hipster, and it’s gone to the point where being hipster has become mainstream. 

You can see the contradiction, I hope? Hipsters are against mainstream things. But they have become mainstream because everyone wants to be a hipster.

Since they contradict themselves and cannot coexist, therefore, it goes to show that hipsters cannot exist in a world where they have become mainstream, because they aren’t mainstream.

So, if you’re a hipster, technically, you’re mainstream. Which means you’re not a hipster. To be a hipster, you would have to go against mainstream views, which is being a hipster. So, you can’t be a hipster since you’re going against hipsters, yet you’re being hipster for going against mainstream hipster-ism.

Confusing, huh?
