Gang of Thieves has launched a kickstarter!
This is crazy. we’re an independent, DIY nationally touring band from Vermont, somehow we met a Grammy winning engineer who likes us so much he’s recording an album with us, and to top it all off, our friends, family, and fans of the band all want to become part of making it happen!
It’s amazing how technology today can allow bands in our situation to accomplish what was unthinkable even 5-6 years ago. We have had production rehearsals with our producer from 3000 miles away while we were on tour via skype, our campaign manager lives in Vermont, and shares videos and documents with us everyday on Google Drive. We’re now recording in California, accepting pledges from people all around the world on Kickstarter, and at the end of it all, we’re going to be able to share the music we are creating with a simple button click from our own website! (and a lot of trips to the post office after that, but still.)
