Radio Ando Jogando... ou quase isso

Pronto! Instalei um widget do Grooveshark no meu tumblog.

Xenosaga had such an amazing soundtrack. I miss you Xenosaga!

At Magfest in Alexandria, Virginia

Made it down to the first day of Magfest. The ride, even from just Philly, was interesting to say the least. We’ve gotten into our rooms and gotten supplies for the four days we’ll br here. Right now, because we were up the night before at another friend’s place, we’re resting before many of the acts we want to see perform.

In other news, got some awesome Becksmann stickers, so if you want one, give me a shout. Any money made from them goes straight to more Becksmann stuff (like prints and other stuff like that). I’ll make sure to post some photos after a nap.

Probably more on that in the months ahead.

George & Jonathan Win 'Best Chip Album' In OSV's 2010 Music Awards

originalsoundversion.com

[One of the sites I contribute to, Original Sound Version, just announced the winners of their annual music awards, and my good bros George & Jonathan have won for ‘Best Chip Music Album’!]

Coming seemingly out of nowhere, dance party duo George & Jonathan have smitten us this year with their toxic tunes and endearing, finger-wagging sass. While not “chip” music by its most precise definition, the intricately-programmed anthems of The Best Music, constructed lovingly in Daisuke “Pixel” Amaya’s Pxtone Collage tracker, have swallowed whole the hearts of those who have experienced it. Like a sugary candy, we can’t help but gorge ourselves again and again on the sweet, teeth-rotting exuberance and saucy funk stylings G&J offer. Having already played shows with the likes of chiptune heavy-hitters Anamanaguchi, Sabrepulse and Starscream, there’s little doubt we’ll be hearing more from them in 2011.

You can see a full list of winners, runners-up, and nominees here.

Marc Gordon - Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Jazz Scat Edition

Artist: Marc Gordon
Album: Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Jazz Scat Edition
Genre: game music
Recommender: squibbles

This is a supremely strange album. It is essentially the score to the game done entirely in that keyboard “doo” sound. It did get my toes tapping at places but eventually it just got fucking annoying as hell. More novelty than actually enjoyable music.
