Wow. Josh Topolsky is mad. And that by itself is fine — he’s clearly passionate about technology, which is great. What’s not fine is the fact that he’s way off-base in his rant. So far off-base that I need to respond.
First and foremost, Topolsky has decided to turn my thoughts on the Galaxy Nexus into full on class warfare between Android and iOS. That is, he twists my comparison of attention to detail into an argument about rich vs. poor people.
I mean, he actually tries to do this.
One little problem.
Nexus
I’m excited to get start with the Nexus. I first started this tumblr page back when I had my Samsung Fascinate but never did anything with it. So with that said I’m going to start with How I rooted my Nexus.
When i got the Nexus I wasn’t and didn’t root it right away. The fact that Ice-cream Sandwich was so different it felt like I already had a rooted phone. It still does but as I kept checking XDA Developer, Droid Forums.net, Droid-Life and all the others. I was getting the bug to root. I mean that’s why the phone was made. Its a developers phone we are suppose to test out different rom’s and themes. Now because I waited the rooting process was every easy. I found two one click options to root my phone. One of them worked for me But the other didn’t. I’m not saying ones better then the other. I’m just telling that the one worked for me.
The first one I’m going to talk about is over at XDA Developers by a guy named Mskip. This one will take care of the GSM and LTE version. It comes packed with a ton options for the phone but I wasn’t able to get this one working for me but check it out.

the second one which worked for me was from Cyber Warrior and you can find him over at Android Central. Very easy to use and it got the job done for me. It even was able to fix my phone when I couldn’t boot into CWM. Unlock your boot-loader and flash CWM all at once. Then all you need to do is flash the Rom of your choice.

Google Samsung Galaxy Nexus to cost $749.99 Unlocked
On October 19, Google and Samsung will officially launch the Galaxy Nexus smartphone with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich that promises pure Google Android experience.
While browsing through multiple sites, I was shocked to see the pricing of this upcoming Galaxy Nexus handset.
According to a pre-order screenshot, the unlocked or contract free Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-I9250 will be offered for $749.99.

Samsung swears its Galaxy Nexus design is completely genuine
gizmodo.comone: Samsung has proven time after time they shamelessly copy Apple products and software designs. They have also failed to prove otherwise in court.
This time around, it seems that with the Galaxy Nexus they’ve done some extensive effort to avoid infringing any potential patent issued by Apple.
It’s a tough (patent) world out there. And Apple hasn’t been merciful.
As Samsung’s mobile president has put it:
Now we will avoid everything we can and take patents very seriously
It’s about time.
