Fourth-wave inclusivity
The old model:
As women, we can see that women aren’t allowed in the male role. It’s obviously men keeping us out, whilst they are allowed to do what they want.
The new model:
Listening to the experiences of men and women, we can see that women aren’t allowed in the male role and men aren’t allowed in the female role. This is obviously a natural gender binary being enforced by society, as supported by evolutionary theory and the study of gender roles in other cultures and species.
So we incorporate misogyny fully, but also allow for the existence of misandry. No experiences of sexism are erased.
