word on the street aka, the word yr getting from me right now is there’s a new band on the block. it’s my band, and there’s chiptunes involved. its called Melt Channel, and there’ll be a 12 track album sometime this summer. im really pumped 4 this so i hope you get pumped too!!

“Music in games has always been one of the things I personally felt a lot of attachment to. Music has the power to set the mood in a really powerful way, especially on the Gameboy, where often times the soundtracks are the most impassioned aspect of the game itself. With this song, I wanted to make something that was fun and energetic and could in a way recapture the excitement video games made me feel as a kid, and as with most of the songs made by our band, we went for a fast poppy track that differs from the feel, but still retains some of the elements of video game music.”

Friday Night At The ASLC
You know me, the bloggin’ freak Knuckles, and we’re at the ASLC. You ready?
Brave (7:00) (9:45) - Another great Pixar movie with a Scottish princess fighting for right to party and/or decide her own fate. Probably that last one.
Penultimate Friday (6:00-11:00) - Normally known as our Final Friday gaming social, it’s coming to you a week earlier and at full force. Our usual gaming social plus an awesome performance by the super rad Fuzzheads, a local chiptune punk band. (performance at 9:30)
Bride Of Frankenstein (8:00) - This week’s Classic Series is the 1935 sequel to Frankenstein, picking up where the original left off.
Homemade Horror Contest (Midnight pre-show) - We asked you guys to make us a short horror film, and now the winner will see their work on the big screen. (side note: some of our members totally submitted some stuff to this, they’re all rad people)
A Nightmare On Elm Street - (12:30) Our midnight feature about the super scary Freddy Krueger. I wouldn’t want to sleep after seeing this movie either.
