First Fight of the Year || Quartie
January 1, 2021 found Quinn alone for the first part of the day. Both her and Artie had the day off and they had planned on spending it together, cuddling under blankets, watching movies, eating Christmas candy and leftovers together. Instead, she was alone on the couch, all the cats laying on her as she stared at the television, not really paying attention to what was on. She was trying not to think about the look on Artie’s face when he had left the house earlier that morning but couldn’t stop herself. Her bottom lip trembled and she attempted to stop herself but soon she was crying, quiet, hot tears. The cats sensed her anguish and meowed but Pirate Pete was the only one to move, leaping up next to her head to sniff her face and lick her tears.
Putting her arms around him, she lightly hugged the small cat, sniffing. ”I hate when he shuts me out like this,” she whispered. ”It makes me feel like my love isn’t good enough even though I know that’s not true…” Pirate Pete mewed in response, then licked her nose. The action made her smile, even if only a little. After a few more minutes, she felt herself dozing off and was soon fast asleep.
Hours later, she woke up with a start, hearing the door click shut. Clearly, Artie was entering the house quietly, maybe to avoid talking, but Quinn wasn’t okay with that. Sliding out from under the cats, she stood up and turned to face him. Apparently, he hadn’t been aware that she had been on the couch and surprise showed in his eyes. ”Where have you been?” Quinn hissed, sounding angry though she was more sad than anything and her eyes were already watering.

Finn bursted through the door and tip-toed towards Ava’s nursery room, smiling as he found her fast asleep on her pink crib, he came over and kissed her forehead before rushing towards his and Rachel’s bedroom, opening the bedroom door and diving in the bed, laughing as she squealed and held tightly to her ice cream.
“Why, hello beautiful.” He said, crawling over to her and kissing her lips. He pulled away with a smirk and wrapped his arms around her waist, leaning in and pressing his lips to her once more, kissing her hotly this time. “I missed ya.”

Sam let out a sigh as he finished up at work, he had go clean off in the back. Going back to stripping, wasn’t what he wanted to do. But when it paid as it well as it did, adding amazing tips and the bills he could get each show? It was hard to go job bussing tables for not even half of what he was making before. Again he was keeping it from everyone, his family and friends. No one needed to know what his job really was. He told everyone he kept his other job. At the restaurant. Were he would clean dishes and deliver food. He just had long late hours, it was somehow working, no one that he knew of thought anything was up.
Once he cleaned up the best he could, getting the smell and glitter off of him, he headed down to a restaurant. Picking up some chicken soup and crackers he headed towards Mercedes place to pay her a visit. With work, school and stuff he had been really busy. Not seeing her as much as he would like too. They may not be dating right now but she had his heart. They just needed some more time to get back on track he hoped. That she be back on his arm soon. Once parked on the side of the road he hurried to the front door and rang the bell and waited for someone to answer.

This is an AU group that focuses on family and the drama’s of trying to hold it together. It is based in New York and though the adults had their difficulties in high school the friends are now close as ever in an attempt to support one another in both their careers and family lives! In this particular roleplay Rachel has a twin she never knew about. Shelby faces the difficulties of telling Rayne and Rachel the truth. Rayne and Rachel’s families must deal with the blow that they are in fact related. Shelby and her sister Sharon must deal with the repercussions of their actions and lies to the twins. The children must deal with having to face that their grandparents aren’t who they thought they were. OC’S are accepted for LI roles and others but must be approved and fit with the storyline.

Today was the promotion day that Quinn hadn’t been looking forward to. She’d avoided the state in the past few years, knowing that Sam was back in Tennessee, but today was a day that she was going to have to face those fears that were niggling in the back of her mind. Having landed in Tennessee the night before, she’d had plenty of time to try and figure out what she was going to do. She had a prime time slot on the morning, and then she’d have all day to try and find Sam. She wasn’t entirely sure what she was going to do when she got there, or what she was going to say, but it seemed like fate that she was meant to be in Tennessee for this movie. What with all the rumours about her and her co-stars going around, she’d been thinking a lot about the blonde, knowing that if she’d just stayed with him, she wouldn’t have those problems at all. But that was years ago…he could have moved on by now, or even have settled down with someone else like he was planning on doing with her at one point.
Standing in the dressing room, the blonde looked over what she was wearing. It was nothing extravagant, no different from her usual day wear, but it was a dress that Sam had always told her that he loved. It might have been a lie, but she was going to be taking no chances. Did she want to win him back? She wasn’t sure. But she felt like she was ready to actually see him now, and maybe..just maybe, have them progress further than just a silence that had lasted for years. She could be completely wrong…but what if she was right? What if Sam wanted to see her too? Then she could be able to talk to the person that she was sure was the love of her life.
Touching her necklace that she kept under all of her clothes, Quinn knew that she needed to make one more adjustment. After all these years, it was time for the necklace that Sam had got for her out of hiding. She moved it on top of her dress, touching it softly, a sense of remorse flooding her as she did so. But she didn’t have time to reminisce before she heard the sound of the buzzer telling her that she had roughly thirty seconds before she was due on stage in front of the audience. The music started playing, and before she knew it, she was out in the lights, on the Tennessee morning television show.
