My Heart Has Returned Home || Fuinn
- When: Valentine’s Day - February 14th, 2013
- Where: The campus of Yale University, Room 745 in The New Haven Hotel, and The town of New Haven, CT
- Notes: Finn has a surprise for Quinn while she’s in class. :)
-After being told that she had to leave last night, Quinn decided to return tonight hoping to see Finn in a better condition. After much debating from several nurses, she had convinced them in saying she was his cousin and needed to watch him. She had successfully managed to fool them and was walking towards Finn’s room. When she got there she knocked lightly and hoped that Finn would be awake again.-
Pretty Girl Is Suffering || Quinn & Finn
Everything had gotten out of hand so fast.. she had mentioned a potential new movie role, a romantic comedy, and Dylan had flown off the handle. Before she could calm him down he had practically thrown her across the room. While this wasn’t the first time Dylan had beaten her, she had never been so terrified by him. She tried to cower in the corner but he had grabbed her hair and pushed her to the center of the room. Quinn managed to get out of there, streaked mascara, bruising along her arm and stomach, and a pounding headache. Unfortunately her keys were inside, so she ran as fast as she could, tears still falling down her cheeks. This wasn’t the way things were supposed to be, this wasn’t the person Dylan had always been. When they first met he had been charming, romantic, everything she had been looking for. But then he started slapping her around, talking to her like she was trash and didn’t deserve his affection. This was the last straw, and she couldn’t go back. She had to finally face the fact that he wasn’t going to change.. that the next time she could be a lot less lucky.
When she finally stopped running, reality set in. She had nowhere else to go.. he knew all her friends, and their houses would be the first place he looked for her. Getting a hotel room wasn’t an option without her credit card or any cash. There was only one place she could go… It didn’t take her long to find Finn’s place, and the car in the driveway was reassuring. He had to be home, she didn’t have anywhere else to turn. Quinn wiped at her eyes, trying to make herself seem a bit more put together. She knocked at the door, looking over her shoulder as she waited for someone to answer the door. If it wasn’t Finn she wasn’t sure what she was going to say. Carefully she balanced her weight from one foot to the other, wincing as her hand brushed against her abdomen. It hurt to breathe, but she tried to ignore that. She knocked again, harder this time. They hadn’t seen each other in years, and he didn’t owe her anything… she just hoped that he’d take her in out of the goodness of his heart, without asking any questions.
First Time (For Everything) || Fuinn
Quinn stood in front of her full body mirror, taking deep, practiced breaths as she smoothed the dress out underneath her fingers. It still fit just as perfectly and framed her in all the right places as it did the day she bought it, but it felt different. Because then, she hadn’t made the decision that she had now weighing on her mind.
But she felt good about it. She felt a little guilty because it went against pretty much everything she stood for at school and at her church. But Finn was her boyfriend. And she loved him. And they were in a good place. Finally, after everything with the glee club. She’d been forced to compromise and it wasn’t as bad an outcome as she’d been making it seem in her head.
After running her eyeliner over her lids again to make sure they were even, she picked through her clutch she was planning to bring with her to the dance, pulling open her small change purse and seeing the three small white pills there made her breathing slow and her heartbeat quicken at the same time.
It was really happening.
She snapped the small coin purse back together and dropped it back into her clutch. She’d even gone as far as putting on the laciest bra and panties set for the occasion and she was so lost in thought that when she heard the doorbell ring, she jumped.
She knew she had about another five minutes to make sure she looked perfect, because her mom was going to let him in and they were all going to wait at the bottom of the stairs as she came down. It wasn’t prom, but for Judy Fabray, it was close enough. She smoothed out her dress again and gave herself a thorough once over as she heard muffled voices below her. She knew he didn’t like to be left alone with her parents too long so she tossed one last look in her mirror and fixed the sleeves on her dress before she finally started her slow descend down the stairs. After a big breath in, she saw her mom and Finn (who looked extremely handsome in his tux and bowtie that matched her dress) at the bottom of the stairs looking up at her. Her mom was snapping pictures and marveling about how pretty Quinn looked, but her eyes were only on Finn.
She shot him a smile as she got to the bottom. “Hey,” she said, her voice quiet. Almost shy. “You look really nice.”
(Setting a) Date Night || Fuinn
Finn actually felt really bad. Sure, it wasn’t like they were lazy about their relationship or anything. Obviously they saw each other in some way every day, even if it was just the shadow of a breathing lump under the covers when he rolled in from work just after midnight. It just wasn’t like they ever got to spend time together, either. Ever since he’d proposed, he’d been working extra to pay for the wedding she wanted and, honestly, the one she deserved. She accepted a lot of things that came with his job. They wouldn’t really have a big house or fancy things based on his pay; they would probably just get by. He wanted to give her a nice wedding, even if he had to nearly kill himself working to do it. It’d be worth it when they got to their honeymoon and could relax, right?
Anyway. So he felt sort of bad, missing this person who shared a roof with him. He was glad they were gonna maybe have a chance to plan out some wedding things—especially a date. He thought maybe if they had some sort of specific detail, they would both feel a lot better. It wouldn’t be like the question was still between them — the ‘will you?’— once there was a day on the calendar. So he cooked dinner, grabbed wine (not his specialty either and he hoped it would work), and set up a picnic on the floor in their living room. It was probably dumb and definitely cheesy, but he wanted her all to himself. He wanted to turn off his phone, have her turn off hers, and just reconnect and disconnect all at once. Her keys in the door drew him over and he pulled it open for her. ”Hey, you. Welcome home.”

- Finn: Really? You can't wait? I mean... we can go to city hall tomorrow if you want. Like after your meeting I mean.
- Quinn: As great of an idea as that sounds I’m pretty sure Rachel would kill me if I got married without her there.
- Finn: I wouldn't let her kill you. We don't even have to tell. We can just... do it for ourselves or something and then still have the regular wedding.
Finally Home; Just For You || Fuinn
Finn couldn’t sit still in the car during the drive. He kept fidgeting and messing with anything he could get his hands on. After a moment he sat on his hands, but that didn’t work since he was talking to Quinn via tumblr. His friend, James, kept glancing at him every few seconds as he held his laughs in. Finn was sure it was an odd sight to see someone like himself being all giddy, but he had waited for so long to finally see Quinn. It had been a little over a year and all the photos and letters just weren’t the same as seeing her in person. Finn looked down at the time, sighing softly to himself. Time only seemed to go by slower and slower with each passing second. It was driving him crazy not being able to see her right then. Deciding to close his eyes just for a moment, Finn couldn’t believe the time had already went by. James was pulling up into the parking lot to the dorms. Finn couldn’t wait any longer as he checked the text Quinn had sent him to make sure he had the correct building number; now he just needed to find the room.
Of course, however, with Finn being overly excited and in a hurry, he found her room in no time. For a moment he stood at the door as his nerves kicked in. He shouldn’t have been nervous to see Quinn. She was just a friend. ‘A friend…’ Finn thought to himself as he bit his bottom lip, ridding his mind of that thought. Slowly he brought his hand up to the door, knocking softly before James lightly shoved him out of the way to knock a bit louder. “That’s how you do it,” James mumbled as he looked up at Finn. “And stop looking so nervous, dude.”
