a properly played french horn is the most majestic instrument.

my main post-rock reference is explosions in the sky, who are great, but sometimes the ten minute builds just aren’t convenient — i just want to hear the thirty-second climactic friday night lights swell once in a while, you know? — and a song like ‘ad infinitum’ is the perfect counterpoint. it is five minutes of a dizzying, euphoric, sustained high.
