myfoxdetroit.comLet’s have a chat about this video.
First-watch it.
Second-Pretty sure Charlie LeDuff is the one redeeming factor at our local Fox station. Way to go, guy. He’s a little rough around the edges, making me feel like he’s actually doing some legit investigating and not taking/talking shit. I like it.
Thirdly-I’d really like to hear some weigh-ins on this issue. Is there a such thing as a “justifiable homicide?” And why? With the lack of funds the state is providing to our public safety department, those of us living in Detroit might actually have to contend with this concept. Is it ever right to kill another person, even if your life is being threatened? And how are we supposed to cope with the aftermath of this issue?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is why it’s so important that we keep up on these issues. Do you think with an “emergency financial manager” this issue will be taken care of? No longer will we have to worry about defending ourselves with such force? Or will this just magically disappear once more funds are funneled into our PSD? I know you’ve seen tons of videos making the same point, including the EMT truck on NYE. (If you haven’t, view here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUphiru_UhY) I’m just asking, when will this be over?
And lastly-is this new type of journalism working for Fox2? I haven’t seen DIV or any other stations for that matter calling out the lack of public safety funding in the D. And quite honestly, according to the latest DET poll (What would it take to get YOU to move to the D-listen here: http://www.wdet.org/shows/craig-fahle-show/episode/survey-review-move-to-city-of-detroit/) more public safety is a legitimate issue among suburbanites. It looks to me like Fox2 is looking to make a difference. Any thoughts?

Fox 2 News says people who eat fast food are more likely to develop depression and to smoke!

WELL NO SHIT SHERLOCK.
Here’s how this goes:
Eat fast food = feel bad about eating fast food
Feel bad for eating unhealthy food = bad body image
Want to lose weight, try, give in = eat more fast food
Repeats cycle until the effects of eating fast food makes them hate their body.
These fucking twats on tv, are you kidding me?

Instead of stating the fucking obvious, give us healthy recipes or something to work with!
And by recipes, I mean research what the fit people, like people who are involved with cross fit eat or something, not paula freakin’ dean okay?
Rant over.

myFOXDetroit.com Staff Report
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - People use Facebook to find old friends and lost loves, but now the social networking website has given a Warren man something even more precious — the gift of life.
35-year-old Jeff Kurze needed a transplant when his kidneys began to fail.
His wife, Roxy, knew he faced a five to seven year wait, so she posted a message about Jeff’s health problems on Facebook.
A complete stranger, 25-year-old Ricky Cisco of Royal Oak, responded to the message, got tested and turned out to be a perfect match.
The transplant took place March 30. Jeff and Ricky are both doing well.
“Largely, people have been using it for their own devices and their own agendas. This is a wonderful example of how we can use it to help each other, reach out to people we don’t know and maybe help them. So, again, it’s very exciting, and it gives me a lot of hope,” said Beaumont Transplant Surgeon Dr. Alan Koffron.
There’s no better time to consider giving the gift of life. April is National Organ Donation Awareness Month.
