Another thing that I will add to my fandom memories of the Torches era.

Every time he gave an encouraging speech at a concert and someone recorded it and it got into the hands of the fandom, this really amazing thing happens to us all. 

We all start making these posts about how great he is on the inside. We’re suddenly not just fangirls of his attractiveness and the music. We’re fans of the man he lets us believe that he is. We accept the fact that of course we’re crazy sometimes and Mark will never marry any single one of us. We realize that deep down, we don’t love him because he’s attractive and has a perfect voice, we love him as more of an idol. We realize that with every speech, he’s becomes even more of that one person we look to for guidance because he does such a damn good job of being that guy. He knows what real life people go through. He’s not just a celebrity that’s had it since the beginning. He went through a lot of tough times in his life. He’s been addicted to drugs. He almost died from it. He’s fallen in and out of love before. He’s had his heart broken. He’s dealt with people hating on him before he was well known. Back when he didn’t always know how to handle it. He teaches us more and more with every word that comes out of his mouth and I love that about him. I’ve never looked up to anyone more than I look up to Mark Foster.
