Ladies and Gentlemen, allow us to present to you the 2012 edition of the Castle Boys’ Halfway-to-Folkfest Fundraiser Social!

Featuring a wide variety of Winnipeg’s incredible grassroots musical talent and getting spirits and imaginations revved up for next Folkfest, the goal of this event is to bring to the people of the campground yet another surreal installation exploding with community, creativity, zaniness, hilarity, and entertainment for the campground masses!

All proceeds go 100% toward the purchase of construction materials, costumery, materials transportation, and future fundraising events; this means YOU THE PEOPLE are the very essence of the project itself!

So slap on your colors and your costumes, grab the people that make you happiest, come celebrate good times, and be a part of our ongoing experiment in community-by-expression! 

2 Rooms, 4 Bands, 4 DJs, Tweener acts, and 100 Drummers in a Folked-up party certain to rekindle your festival fire and melt winter’s icy grip around your heart and soul!!

I was really seduced by the idea of poutine. It turned out so terribly wrong. The gravy is a flavourless, from-a-mix mess and the cheese is just bad, nondescript, grated white stuff. The fries are fine.

Just order the fries. Forget the “poutine.”
