Fluorescent Lights // Katherine and Gloss

Katherine sat on her sofa as bored as ever. She never realized how hard it was living without electricity. Living in the darkness, no entertainment, freezing to death because of the weather. Despite the coldness, Katherine was eating a tub of chocolate ice cream before it went to waste. The girl was using a long winter coat to protect her from the chill of the winter weather. She was frustrated considering she can’t do anything about the blackout, but also happy that she has someone coming over. The girl felt on top of the world, the only friends she’s made so far in Panem was Cato, Rue, Marla, Felix and Gloss. 

Once she finished her snack, Katherine cleaned everything up and went to check her phone. Soon, her battery would finish, and she has no way of communicating to anyone outside of Panem. The brunette hated the dark, sometimes she’s accused of being scared of it. She tried entertaining herself by making shadows on the wall with her flashlight but it was no use, she was still bored out of her mind. A few minutes later she heard a knock at the door and went over to accept it. “Hey,”She spoke with a smile.
