This article is totally fucked! I know for a fact that this is only half of the story and the side that is being portrayed is a distorted fabrication. The author of this article portrays Despres as looking for trouble, but his roommate tells a different story of the cops enticing him to react with the words he did. Hmmm….yeah that sounds like typical cop behavior. They profile him as some sort of terrorist because of the belt he was wearing. First off bullet belts are not a crime, they hold no powder and are about as dangerous are a sharp corner on a desk. Also last time I checked bullets weren’t silver. So either the police at Fitchburg are all endowed with some trust fund and shooting their money away or they are all fucking idiots…Come to think of it wouldn’t bullet belts (which never had powder in them) be considered replicas? Well wouldn’t you know http://www.nraila.org/gun-laws/state-laws/massachusetts.aspx Massachusetts state law does not require a FID card for replicas which is what Fitchburg is accusing Despres of not having for his bullet belt. Now we come to the $50,000 bail. Seriously, $50,000 bail? The only legitimate claim Fitchburg has is the fact that he didn’t fill out the proper paper work which even then why should he to get his own belongings?
