This film is the first in a series to be hosted by Chicago Abortion Fund this summer. The “A” Word film chronicles Chicago leadership group My Voice My Choice. The group was started in 2007, engaging former grantees of Chicago Abortion Fund with training in community organizing, leadership development, and public speaking skills. The group hosted a public access show also called The “A” Word, available on Youtube at this link. Though the Chicago activist community was disappointed when this show was put on hold, it was happily done in order to develop this feature length film.
