This is the conversation that went on between my professor and the guys behind me when she asked what we thought of the movie we had just watched ‘Waltz with Bashir’
Professor: So what did you guys think of the film?
Student 1: I didn’t like the animation, it was all…straight…
Professor: Okay…What abou-
Student 1: Oh! It looked like anime!
Class: …What?!
Professor: …Okay, anyone else?
Student 2: I didn’t like it because it felt like a documentary.
Professor: …It was a documentary.
Student 2: Oh…
Professor: Okay…well do any of you know anything about the Lebanon war?
Student 3: (whispering) Were we involved in that?
Student 1: (whispering) No.
Student 3: (whispering) Uh, then I don’t care.
The people behind me are idiots…anyway. For those of you who haven’t seen Waltz with Bashir…here is a comparison of it to anime.

Can anyone find an anime that is even close to this movie? Please let me know when you do.
PS: I just picked the first anime that came to my mind…sorry if this offends anyone.
RIP Stay High 149
Stay High 149, born Wayne Roberts, was getting his tag up on New York City walls and trains before graffiti had a name. In the 60s and 70s, he went from being just another kid in the Bronx to the original New York City street art legend. His groundbreaking style and smoker glyph was everywhere. Despite three decades in and out of jail and rehab, Stay High never stopped drawing on walls and canvases, and remained a sincerely nice guy to the end. That smoker’s halo has a new meaning now. The legend continues.
I THINK THIS IS A RECORD.
I was told today by my cousin, that my screenwriting degree is useless.
Okay.
What I heard: The work you’ve been slaving and killing yourself over the past four years is meaningless.
Wow. Fuck you.
Some of us don’t want to devote our lives to money-making, excuse me for not spending my college years learning accounting or business management.
Fuck you for invalidating my experiences.
Then again, I really didn’t hear something like this until now. Knowing how some of my peers’ families have reacted, I think this is a record.
Pre Production paperwork & Production techniques
when making a film or video you may need a huge requirement of items like the cast and crew of the film, the planing of the production, script plans, screenwriting, if the screenplay is adapted or original, locations for films, times of shoots, when the film may start production and many others.
when looking at a script you may want to know how the script can make sence, what the script shows when turing into film and also try and stay close to the original source material when making the film as in stick to the script.
the Term Slating means clapperboard as it means when to start filming meaning when the clapperboard claps that means it time to film, it also marks how many takes the scene to and how many they can have in total.
one very important factor to film is CONTINUITY meaning there should be no mistakes, or consistency if you chose to call it that, this means as if there is an error in the film (such as in the wizard of OZ when Dorothy and the scarecrow get attacked by the trees you can see a glimpse of Dorothy NOT wearing the ruby slippers) that means that error will be the final film and will show out if people pay attention, If Continuity gets ruined the most the film may suffer in result of this.
Continuity can also mean moving forward like seeing the characters of said series will do next where we can see what they will do in the future but there can also be the fear in back tracking which leads to other continuity errors.
Continuity errors can also lead to Plot errors meaning certain things in the plot can get ruined if the script doesn’t have major revision.
All I’ve ever wanted to do is go to school for film and SIM and direct music videos for the local music scene in Boston, and do their tour documentaries and design their album artwork and tour posters and all that shit. I want that more than anything.
I also want to do short films but that’s irrelevant because apparently no one besides me likes short films. But hey, whatever, they’re celebrated at the Academy Awards so that counts for something.
And a hug. I wouldn’t mind a hug right about now, either.
