quickening days | In which dragons & ghosts & prejudices are confronted, Merlin wears a hat (twice) and a dress (once), Arthur breaks some crockery (lots), there are more pranks than pillowfights but at least one of each, and many secrets are revealed.
* For The Weary | When Arthur is crowned king, Merlin finds his list of work elongating. He helps Arthur with advisor-like tasks and servant-y work, until one day in court, he collapses from exhaustion.

Beyond My Touch | If someone had told me meeting Merlin would change me this much, I’d have gotten them arrested, but I’m starting to like it. I love a challenge & he’s worth it - to me. A story about realizing what you never knew you wanted.
* A Binding Contract | In a society where people with magic are considered to be dangerous, are labelled as freaks, and have their powers cut off from them, Merlin does whatever he can to survive the hard life he’s faced with. When he’s in desperate need of money, Merlin’s landlord Aredian arranges and offers a magically binding contract in which Merlin is to become a ‘companion’ to Uther Pendragon’s son, Arthur. And when Merlin feels compelled to accept it, he never would have imagined that one man could change his life so completely.
The Boy Next Door | In which there is pining, Merlin bakes, Arthur borrows batteries he doesn’t actually need, and did I mention the pining?
All I want for Christmas (Is you) | Arthur is not amused when his (probably insane) father decides to hold a Secret Santa exchange for the entirety of Pendragon Corporation. He’s even less amused (and more than a bit panicky) when he draws Merlin’s name.

Possibly Maybe I’m Falling for You | Merlin walks into his favourite coffee shop one morning to find the Prince of Wales behind the till. His life only gets more surreal from there.

Pianos are made for falling | Arthur is a world class violinist, trapped in Sydney, Australia, by his fear of flying. In the wake of a mediocre concert, vicious critics and with barely a month to go before his next (hopefully reputation-saving) recital, Arthur is almost at breaking point. When his accompanist, Morgana, breaks her wrist in a car accident, Arthur is more or less doomed. And the story begins, when the Maestro at the conservatoire, Gaius Stresemann, recommends his protege Merlin Emrys to step in. Merlin, who plays by ear, as he pleases and really just wants to be a kindergarten teacher.
Keep Calm and Carry On | How Arthur Pendragon, Director of Communications for Prime Minister Gaius, and his assistant, Merlin Emrys, fell in love - a story in goldfish, cats, webcomics, cups of tea, and sharpies.
Drastically Redefining Protocol | In which Prince Arthur meets Merlin and all hell promptly breaks lose.
* Heartbreak, Secret Friends and Stupid Doodles | Merlin has a secret crush on Arthur, who has no idea who he is. When Arthur has a bad break up, Merlin takes it upon himself to cheer him up. Secretly, of course.
World Enough and Time | Arthur had had it all figured out. And then Merlin shot him in Beijing. (Also known as The Assassin AU)
Not In This Land Alone | When Merlin Emrys gets a summer job at Buckingham Palace, he doesn’t expect to even meet King Arthur, let alone become involved in protecting him from a plot to overthrow the monarchy.
The House on Castleview Road | Arthur is a handsome and eligible bachelor with a well paid job in the City and a luxury penthouse flat in Canary Wharf. His life is the stuff of dreams … Just not his. After his sister gets a lodger it seems that Arthur’s life has taken an even bigger turn for the worse. Until, of course, he falls in love. Unfortunately, the path to true love is never smooth, and sometimes requires reckless driving, illegal parking and chasing after trains.
* The good times are killing me | In which the boys pretend to still be together for Christmas (and there is more than one kind of charade).
* Pendragons are NOT the only fruit (except when they are) | Merlin was adopted as a baby - he’s always known that – but when he turned twenty he found he had a half-sister: the feisty and sort of scary Morgana. Merlin moved to sleepy Camelot to be closer to her, settling into life as a mild-mannered greengrocer, catering to his passion for in-season fruits and vegetables. To make things even better, Morgana’s adoptive brother is coming back from America and Merlin will get a brother too! Life is pretty peachy. But… Arthur Pendragon is not at all what Merlin had expected. He’s arrogant, funny, beautiful – he completely flummoxes Merlin at every turn. But really, Merlin doesn’t think his new sort of maybe not brother person is hot. That would we weird, right?
Numbers and Figures | Uther is violent at home and Arthur has to hide the bruises in school. New pupil Merlin sees through his popular bullshit at once and discovers the truth.
The Break-Up Box | Arthur is a lawyer who wears suits and has a savvy apartment. Merlin is a college student who talks a lot and loves clothes.
Lions, Pebbles, and Penguins, Oh my! | Sitting at the top of “Uther’s All Time Parenting Backfires” is Arthur’s fellow colleague and clumsy best friend - Merlin Emrys.
Accidental Train Ride | Merlin ends up going to Scotland with Arthur when the train doors close on him. Many things happen, including innuendo and explosions.
* Near-Mint Condition | Merlin owns a small comic shop in Cardiff Bay. His life has been troubling lately, having to downsize his shop, breaking up with will, getting attacked by a creature prowling around town. And to top it all off a new comic shop moves in across the street, owned by a man that’s the biggest of his troubles, Arthur Pendragon.
Paraphrase | “Merlin,” Arthur says, barely looking up from the stack of documents on his desk, “come here, please.”
* Champagne from a paper cup (is never quite the same) | Modern AU with magic. Arthur is a professional footballer on the verge of making history. Merlin is a medical student with special powers who’s just been hired to work for Arthur’s club. You know the rest.
Warm Bricks | In which Merlin is a street kid, and falls in love with Arthur after Uther brings him in.
La Petite Mort | They are shooting a vampire show; Arthur is the director and has to show how to bite on a neck. Merlin (technician) is the first available “neck” in his proximity. The Sequel.
Last Friday Night | Arthur’s a hipster, but not really. And Merlin is his normal, happy self who happens to listen to too much Katy Perry and other trashy pop music.
The Function of Love | Merlin is the new scholarship boy at Wakefield. He literally runs into Arthur Pendragon one day.
Friendship Canon-era:
To Serve and Protect | After something terrible happens, Arthur, Gwen, Gwaine, and Lancelot take their turns in protecting their protector, watching over their watcher. Merlin’s the one in trouble, now, and it’s up to them to save him.
Shadows of Truth | Captured and held for ransom, they must escape and try to find their way home. This would be far easier if Arthur wasn’t blind, Morgana half-blind, and Merlin did not have a head wound while trying to sneakily do magic.
Bradley/Colin:
* Something Kind of Wonderful | In which Colin has writer’s block, Katie is helpful, Bradley makes coffee, Angel is awesome, and along the way something kind of wonderful happens.
The Invention of Subtlety | A new male character is introduced to the show. This causes lots of AxM fans to jump ship to this new pairing. Bradley suddenly finds himself jealous as people seem to ask him less and less about the AxM bromance!romance and more about Merlin and this new bloke.
* How to Fight Loneliness | Off camera, Colin is really extremely shy, especially around people he doesn’t know well. It was alright to harbor an unrequited crush on Bradley while it was just them and the girls. But with the new dynamic on set in S4, Colin feels like he’s losing even his friend Bradley to the new ‘more interesting’ people. He can’t change who he is, so instead of fighting for Bradley’s attention, Colin rivets into himself, and soon the only time he’s laughing is when Merlin is. With so many new people around, no one is watching him too closely, so when he forgets to eat time and again, no one notices. Until he collapses on set.
You’re All A Part of Me | Merlin is finished, and despite their vehement protests, Colin and Katie are whisked off to Italy with some of the other young cast members before they have to say goodbye and move on with their lives. Problem is, Colin thinks he might possibly be in love with his (straight) on-set best friend - and neither of them are terribly good at communicating. Two weeks of misunderstandings, blanket forts, sofa-sleeping, and way too much alcohol leads to something pretty close to happiness.
