Ferris Mular - Together One Day

I woke up this morning and began my usual little dig through the old soundcloud stream. After scoping out a few of my favourite artists follows and likes I happily discovered an Adelaide producer by the name of Ferris Mular. That same morning I heard his track, Whachu Need on Triple J Unearthed and it was a no-brainer. ‘This guy needs a feature on the blog!’
So here we are, I chose to post his latest original but his soundcloud is choc full of remixes of hits from artists like Baby Bash, Mariah Carey and Ciara (among others) so you see what the vibe is like. In my personal opinion, this music that Ferris makes is reminiscent of some Ta-Ku productions and the work of a previous feature on the blog, Ruddy P. It really is making the most natural and organic progression from the old school stuff that most of us 90’s kids grew up on ( MJ and his sister Janet, R-Kelly, Mary J. Blige, Brandy etc.) to what today’s ‘RnB’ is.
Instead we are faced with a situation where a guy that plays commercial electro, can drop 3 or 4 Pitbull tracks in his set and call himself an ‘RnB DJ’ or at least that’s what it says on his bio. GTFO and learn how to beatmatch something slower than 128 with a break beat!

Anyway, get on to this guy because he is already blowing up and you don’t want to find out there’s no seats left on the band-wagon ;) big ups to Ferris for bringing beautiful, real music to our scene. We wish him all the best and hope that other artists will take his lead.
