I don't know where this influx of fem!Bilbo art is coming from
But I LOVE IT.
Fem!Bilbo is my guilty pleasure. The fic was wonderful, and the art is just the icing on top of the delicious Bagginshield cake.
Why do I love fem!Bilbo? Because there are subtle differences I love between the way they might have been raised. Because there are a few liberties I can take with fem!Bilbo that seem just a tad overwrought with regular male Bilbo in terms of emotional response. Because fiery but still feminine female main characters are as ever, appealing, and fem!Bilbo makes for a wonderful female protagonist.
Two Small Hobbits | Open Roleplay
Two small figures moved quietly through the wood. One was Bilba Baggins, her eyes darted around the area, watching for enemies. The other was Frodo Baggins, his hand grasped Bilba’s tightly in fear. ”Not much longer my boy, we’ll be out of here soon enough.” She cooed, softly as she continued to drag him along.
The boy shuffled his feet but made no movement to quicken his step. “I’m tired.” He whined. They had been walking a long way and he wasn’t used to such walks. Bilba stared down at the smaller figure with sad eyes; this probably wasn’t the best idea she had. “Alright, come here.” She bent down, put her arms around his tiny waist and lifted him up. Frodo quickly nuzzled up into her neck, liking the feeling of being cradled. Bilba smiled softly, for she loved him dearly.
Then suddenly a loud noise frightened both Hobbits. Frodo’s arms tightened around Bilba’s neck and hers around his waist. She took a few steps back in case they’d need to run. “Who’s there?” She called out in a demanding tone.
